crocosmia corms

jaffacakesjaffacakes Posts: 434

Hi all, I plants about 20 crocosmia Emily McKenzie corms in pots to plant out later in the year. Just wondering should I expect to see any growth this year? I guess there won't be many flowers in the first year... Thanks image

Thanks Ladybird. I potted them up last weekend so I hope for the best. I thought pots would be better to start them in image

Excellent idea. It makes it easier to decide where to put them once they grow.

    C. Emily McKensie are a fast growing plant. The corms will develop and show folliage this year but flowers make not appear. This is based on a few people I know who have planted these corms before. Once they have established themselves, they will show a lot of spread

Thank you both. At least foliage will provide a bit of structure for first year image
