I'm in the Cotswolds and we see Hummingbird HawkMoths  - always on the Valerian - can't say I've noticed them elsewhere .... One (the only?) positive of having it self seed everywhere :-)

  • Ha! Ok, I'll see where else it might go, thanks again, looking forward to the moths! x

Ha ha nutcutlet. I have the thug and love it too. I only started off with a pale pink one but now I have that plus a white and deeper pink one so their gene pools must be amazing!

My neighbour has the thug - just waiting for it to pop over the driveway to my side...

Sadly - we don't get many hawkmoths up here Elspeth  image

But perhaps in future there will be some more sightings. There's been a few in the last couple of years image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Ah that's a shame, looked them up on google images-very pretty! X

  • Oh my goodness, I found loads of this all through my front flowerbeds when I was weeding this afternoon-loads of it, everywhere! You weren't kidding. Very long, thick roots... image
