I got this from our local plants greenhouse. The guy says it's a type of spicy chili pepper. Can someone tell me it's name please :)

There are hundreds of chilli varieties, many with just small differences  which be down to growth habit, flavour and other things.

    Here is just one list

I'm sorry but I don't think anyone would give a firm ID from simply a photo. Does the chap you got it from not know its name?

We used to have a lovely lady who was an expert on chillies, I think she was poorly I haven't seen her around for a long time but maybe if you look back?

she started her own business growing chillies I wonder if anyone else remembers her wonderful knowledge and the tips she shared?

Thanks, the guy just told me it was a " Dutch midget pepper plant"

I just wanted to identity it to better understand how to take care of this wonderful plant. Also, decide on whether it's safe to consume it's fruits or not.

  • Gorgeous colour!

I did grow one very similar to this called Twilight a year or so ago. Does the guy you bought it from grow them himself or get them in from elsewhere?

He gets it from the Netherlands (according to him)...  5$ each.

After an extensive search on Google, my bet is that it's the Explosive Ember? Only thing is the Ember plant has different colored fruits and mine has them all purple.
