I just wanted to identity it to better understand how to take care of this wonderful plant. Also, decide on whether it's safe to consume it's fruits or not.
After an extensive search on Google, my bet is that it's the Explosive Ember? Only thing is the Ember plant has different colored fruits and mine has them all purple.

I did grow one very similar to this called Twilight a year or so ago. Does the guy you bought it from grow them himself or get them in from elsewhere?
He gets it from the Netherlands (according to him)... 5$ each.
