Here are some of the seedlings Richard sent me - looking happy so far - thank you Richard image

  • I'm image at the amazing cuttings!

    Wow!

Never grown a clematis from seed, but perhaps once we move to a house with a larger garden, I may try this...

Currently have a tiny courtyard garden and couldn't physically cram any more plants in if I tried image

we too have very cmall gardens around 20 sq metres front and same back, I cram plants in eevery tiny space, I love to try to grow from seed, and I'd love to try clematis, (as I can always manage to squeeze one of those in!) though i'm desperately short of space when it comes to pricking out and potting on, I genuinely don't know what I'm going to do with all my seedlings between the wwindowsiils where they are and the garden!

  • To all alpina and macropetala fans, try the koreanas, same group Atragene Group, far wider colour range,  look out for Broughton Bride, white double and single flowers,  and Blue Eclipse, pale blue and creamy yellow

I have seeds of some of the koreanas.  Got them at Chelsea last year - Blue Eclipse, Propertius and Purple Rain.  No Broughton Bride on offer that I recall.

Can't wait to get the polytunnel up and get sowing.

  • I feel your pain rosemummy - my OH is fed up with random seedling pots and cuttings decorating every indoor space possible!

Have to move to a bigger garden, sorry house, this year image

    That koreanas is beautiful Richard.
