More identification help
Hello there.
Could anyone be so good as to help me identify these 2 different plants.
The first one I spotted in the gardens of the Treasurer's House in York at the weekend - it had a variegated (is this spelled correctly?) waxy leaf and looked lovely with the daffodils growing through it
The second one I inherited is growing in the garden wall of the house we moved into. It's a lovely low grower and I'd like to plug the gaps in the wall to have it growing the full length.
As always, many thank in advance for any help you lovely folk can give.

The first looks like Arum italicum and the second is aubretia.

Many thanks Dovefromabove (especially for the spelling bit
