This is my Gardenia plant What is strange about that I hear you ask? Well I was given a small Gardenia plant in a pot and it was in flower. When the flower died I planted the shrub in a shaded part of the garden. I did not expect it to survive (they don't like cold weather) This little plant went through all sorts of weather including one winter when temperature went as low as -16C. It never flowered but hung in there. 18 years later the picture tells the story. What can we learn from this - DO NOT GIVE UP!!

I tried to load a picture. Can any one help me ?1?
reduce the size of the photo, the forum doesn't take anything very big. I reduce mine to 30%. Then start from the camera icon on the right.
