Crown imperial is eaten by something

ive had an orange Crown imperial that's has been doing well until last year when something eat it all. Didn't expect it to survive but it did. However something is eating it again. Could it be Lilly beetles? The plant is about seven years old.

  • Lily beetles also attack fritillaries, so that is probably the culprit. Look for the larvae underneath the leaves - they are covered in their own droppings.

Haven't seen any larvae yet but last year it was totally desimated.

Never seemed to have a problem with slugs eating them before so suspect the beetle
