Shrub identification
Hi there,
Going to be a complete pain now and post loads of pics for identification, and then some general tips on pruning times and care for the shrubs/ plants in question etc.
we are in our second year in the house and are still getting to grips with understanding the garden.
Thanks.

Lightening speed nut
I'll try again, any tips on future pruning times please?
I will just guess quickly before nut: coronilla.
That's a broom - Cytisus.
Not to be confused with Cistytis, which is something entirely different....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Is that the one that has beautifully scented flowers?
Ooh - good shout Dimwit. I thought it looked too 'twiggy' for that.
Nut will know anyway

I'm on the ball today Jess
Ribes can be cut right back after flowering
The berberis can be trimmed a bit if it needs it, I'd leave it alone
Forsythia, after flowering cut some of the older stems right back to base and leave the rest alone. You get a better shape like that.
I can't get a clear view of the yellow one, looks like a pea of some sort

Let's hope she turns up quickly to settle the question...
