Terrible Drainage!

Hi guys! It's been a while since I've been here!

Story is- we're renting a house and it has a sweet little garden. However, check out the drainage problems we're having. We've been tidying up the chaos that we got it in, and discovering that we have some standing water issues, as you can see in the pictures provided.

Do you guys have any suggestions with what we can do?

Remember, it's a rented property and there's not much we can do with regards to changing the garden too much (Otherwise we would rip out that daft brick wall we have going on there, it's falling to bits!)

Thank you!

  • Hi Pansyface!

In the first picture (with the little wall) the water is kind of collecting into that little strip. It was full of stones before, and now that i've removed a portion of the stones water is collecting. Is there any way to alleiviate that?

In the second picture is another place where water is kind of standing. I think there's a dip there- what can I do to help it?

    Thank you very much!

The strip filled with gravel sounds like a French Drain - the gravel is supposed to be there. image
