Aquilegia - downy mildew

I'm noticing downy mildew on my aquilegias and am concerned it may be this new strain. The plants have started ok but I'm seeing leaves go a paler, whitish green and withering away

That's sad Fishy.
I don't think I've seen any signs but a patch of red ones I planted last year isn't visible so may have snuffed it for some reason.

My McKana hybrid is encountering similar problems
I suppose this is something they will have to develop a natural resistance to. In the meantime there isn't a lot to be done
