    I'd bin it.  Garlic bought from the supermarket etc for cooking may have been exposed to viruses etc.  Not going to harm us but you're not going to get a good crop.

    Garlic bought from the GC or from specialist suppliers should be certified as virus free.

    You could maybe use it to make a "tea" which can then be sprayed on plants to deter aphids and slugs.   Smelly but effective.
