If it has to be done, then now isn't the worst time. It'll move fine, with a big rootball, but water it well first, a couple of buckets, leave for a day or two then dig right round it aiming for a rootball 18inches across or so. Obviously, the bigger he better, but you've got to be able to move it! New site already prepared? Then incorporate some good compost (mixed with the soil) and get it straight in, again with a good drink.

Agree with nut ,it looks a bit hungry though (yellowing of the leaves ) feed it with a ericacious feed.
Great thanks! I want to move it as the area it's in is getting fenced off. When should I cut it back and will the roots be really deep?
