I think it may be foxglove but not sure it appears to be a present from the birds visiting my feeders just above the pot.

I'd plant them in the ground.
I got rid of my flower beds graveled them over a few years ago as I could not maintain them. I grow everything in pots now just wanted to make sure what they were as I nearly pulled them out thinking they were weeds.
Birds have saved me some money as I was going to buy some foxglove
