I've read on anther post, it gets very hot .

Assume it would stay wet longer than rain-soaked grass

You would have to hoover off leaves etc.

You would have to find some way of removing  animal poo

    It looks -well -artificial.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

because we're gardeners not carpet fitters.

    Because nothing lives in it

Because it looks boring to start with and worse with time

  • Because I vacuum enough inside my house, thank you very much, and would not want to have to vacuum the garden as well image

    Because worms hate it

Because anything is better to look at than an artificial plant, of any description!

I would rather have a scruffy or poor lawn than a plastic green carpet.

Grass lives, gives life, gives homes, gives food, gives oxygen... oh and smells amazing when you cut it!

My garden and I live in South Wales.

  • The joy of seeing primroses seeding in my lawn, daisies, clover and violets too - an artificial lawn is sterile and boring. Where would the blackbirds find their worms if not in the lawn?

All this pleasure would be taken away from us if we fitted artificial grass.
