Time to give up on other two aquilegias?

Andy LeedsAndy Leeds Posts: 518

I planted three 'ruby port' and three 'munstead white' last spring.  So far I only have one of each growing, below picure is 'ruby port'.  If the others haven't come up by now do I give up on them or give them more time?

It's still only mid March Andy, so I wouldn't worry. They're pretty tough little plants. No growth on mine yet, although I'm further north so that would be normal. However, we've had a very benign winter with lots of plants in growth a month earlier than usual, and they're still not out the ground yet. Plenty of time image

Ok will give them a bit longer.  It just seemed strange that one was looking great and no sign of the other two.  Hope they do make an appearance ?.

So many plants I put in last year and this spring is the first I've had waiting for them to return....scary ?.

    Ah - patience, Andy - patience....image

Always exciting when you see new shoots appearing, or new growth on a shrub etc. It doesn't change, no matter how many years we garden.

I've just got quite excited because there's loads of flowers on the blackthorn hedge...  image  image
