Daffs in pots and borders get the whole flowering stem removed cos it looks better but we leave the smaller ones like tête-à-tête and Minnow to seed about as they naturalise so easily. I suspect we'll get to a point - either age or quantities or both - where we just boost the feed and let the flowers go over but, for the moment, we don't have so many that dead-heading is a huge chore.

There is conflicting advice here as on the programme shown on 14th April Monty Don clearly said that just remove the seed head not the whole stem. I do wish they would check what is being said as it just leaves me confused, I only used to remove the seed heads then started taking out the whole stem on Carols advice now what to do?
