Can anyone help me with this perennial please. This photo is from July last year. It's thriving in a relatively shady spot but taking over a bit. New shoots already this year so I wondering whether this is a good time for a bit of surgery.

Looks like Lysimachia punctata. It is rather vigorous when happy so a bit of control now is a good idea.

Looks like lysimacnia punctata, it can take over a bit but is easy to cut back and dig out the bits you don't want.
cant spell for toffee?
Thanks both. I've taken a look at a few photos of Lysimachia and you are dead right. Think I might remove half and relocate to another shady spot that needs some colour to brighten it up.
