Does anyone know this plant?

i am desperately trying to find out the name of this plant. It was in my mums garden, and it was her favouritE. I want to plant it in her memory in my garden. I am so hoping you can help me, I have posted photos of them.

    Well, it's a rhododendron, possible one of the Yakushimanum hybrids, but I don't know which one.  Is it scented?  A very few of the evergreen ones are.

    It looks like an azalea, but no idea which kind.

    Yes, judging by the larger leaf (based on the shoe size bottom pic) , suspect a rhododendron rather than azalea.

    Having had a second look at the leaves, I don't think it's a Yak, the leaves aren't rolled at the edges. I'll have a hunt through my books. It's certainly one of the dwarf ones, though

    Thanks for everyone replying, I really hope I can find it, my parents loved gardening , I wished now I had paid attention!
