Hi I seen this on my morning walk and would like to know what it is ???? It's growing over on top of a wall.

It's aubrietia. A trailing beauty, isn't it just? Takes very well to well-drained sandy soil or in cracks of a wall - comes in shades of purple and pink. Quite early this year, usually flowers April - May.

It's really nice I've just had to purchase some for my wall haha! I seen it starting last week but it's bloomed really well. Thank you!
Oh yes & there's more yet to come, the whole wall will be carpeted in colour
Could you let me know how far apart do you plant them? For them to cover the wall like that, do they need to be pretty close whilst planting. I can't find my information on it.
Remember it flowers early so will be green for the rest of the year. There is a variegated version if it is year round impact you are looking for or perhaps you could interplant with something else to extend the colour season.
I would guess that photo is of one or perhaps 2 plants - when they are happy they spread really well. I have - or should say had - a variegated one. It's very hard to keep the variegation and mine has almost completely reverted to green now. I've got mine mixed with some of the low growing dianthus, saxifrage and creeping phlox to extend the flowering into summer.
