Mould on dahlia tubers

I was going to compost my saved dahlia tubers because they had white, wettish mould on them.

I chucked them to one side to await their fate and I've noticed after a few days that they are all quite firm and the mould has disappeared off one as they dried off(assume it will come back when wet)

Are they salvageable?

In London. Keen but lazy.

If they are firm, they will probably be ok. Mouldy tubers tend to become soft and mushy.

How can you lie there and think of England

Should I try to get it off?
