Hi Metalmama. First picture looks like a Saxifrage, second is a Heather, third looks like Euonymus but I'm not sure about the fourth shrub.

The first one is London Pride, Saxifraga × urbium. Somebody has identified it for me last year. Wonderful plant. This is how it looks in June:

Are these the same plant? One in gravel, other growing from a pot.

The grass type plants do look similar.
Do you know what the last two are please?
I'm rubbish at grassy looking things. Have you tried tipping the potted one out to see if it's bulbs or just roots?
No I haven't but can do so tomorrow and update the post.
