Wanted: A Tall Wall Climber
We have a very large 10x10 meters adjacent wall to the entrance/driveway to our house, at the moment there are a three trees that make the wall less noticeable but we would like to remove one or two of largest ones to get some light. We don't necessarily want the entire height of wall to be covered but would like to find a way of covering part of this very large and ugly wall. The only good thing is that there is plenty of space for plating climbers. I have looked at the lovely rose Mme Alfred Carriere and Cotoneaster Horizontalis but I am not whether either it would be suitable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

One of the Montana clematis' is something to consider. If the wall is yours then I would put up a supporting wire framework to support whichever climbers you choose.
Which way does the wall face?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
wisteria could be the answer great climber and when on bloom looks great
I would put some frameworks up and choose a few, armandii has been fab this winter, infact my 3 climbers put in last year have all done great over winter, the armandii is full of flower buds and i grow mine in pots,so in the ground would be great, i will take a pick for you later ?
Hi hampstead, here is a pick, armandii far right, a jasmine far left which smells beautiful in summer and i can't remember the middle one?
Thank you very much to all of you for the excellent suggestions.
