Trachelospermum jasminoides problem or not?
I potted up a TJ last summer, didn't untangle from the cane it was on as I didn't have the trellis ready (disorganised I know...). It's against a south facing wall, but even so I thought it would need protecting over the Leeds winter so I popped a fleece jacket on it (ignored it for the winter) and removed it a couple of days ago.
It doesn't look too impressed based on my limited experience with leaves yellowing a bit.
Is there anything obvious I should do to help it along?

It's fine. Those slightly tarnished leaves are old ones, affected by the colder months. As a whole the plant looks perfectly alright. New growth will start in a few weeks' time covering up the rough leaves which will drop off as they age more anyway. Once it's into new growth then it can have a feed and perhaps a good soaking, weather dependent. It's in a container, so you are 'Mother Nature', supplying food and water for your child!

I'm all relieved, many thanks HC!
I have it a FBB feed and a soak a couple of days ago too, maybe too early but hey....
Verdun, unfortunately I don't have (don't think I have) the space to plant in the ground (I'd love to if I did!).
West facing fence with climbing rose 1 just behind the cordyline, climbing rose 2 another two panels along, camellia Yuletide further up then a newly planted pear tree I'm going to try to espalier. Can't see where it would fit there?
Looking back to the horrible pebble dash south facing garage is where the jasmine is. The garage is going to go in the next year or two if we ever get our extension done, so don't see that I can plant it there either?
The other side of the garden is east facing so I don't think it would do very well there...
I am a big fan of TJ s. Have grown them in each garden I have had. One I have at present has lovely brilliant red leaves, most of which will drop to be replaced by new green growth. They are evergreen, but all evergreen plants naturally drop their leaves at some time of the year. I have a cream flowered one and a variegated one which seems very shy to flower and slow to grow. Delicious scent.
