I meant 135 BPM on the hubs heart rate in that last post.  He's doing much better now that he's gotten some sleep.  The staff in hospitals don't let you get much sleep, sadly.  always coming into the room, waking you to draw blood or do this or that test.

Today I planted 5 striped Euphorbia Ascot Rainbow https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search?p=Euphorbia+Ascot+Rainbow&fr=yhs-mozilla-001&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001&imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fe54055a024bc6fb58d47-f7df714a3b816a175961a96ef2278d84.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com%2F3565-Ascot-Rainbow-Euphorbia.jpg#id=6&iurl=https%3A%2F%2Fe54055a024bc6fb58d47-f7df714a3b816a175961a96ef2278d84.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com%2F3565-Ascot-Rainbow-Euphorbia.jpg&action=click.  Also took a couple of Pericallis out of pots and planted in the ground.  Then I ran out of steam and had to leave the two chartreuse Heucheras for tomorrow's planting.  Spring is such a tiring time. :)

Glad your 'hubs' is back home with you, Peggy. Yes, hospital is the worst place to try to have any rest! I hope 'relaxing in the garden' is one of the orders - your veranda seems like a great place for recovery and relaxation...

You seem busy with your lovely garden. I love Heucheras but have had varying degrees of success - mine seem to do better in pots.

Great to read about you climate and plant choices... hot and dry is not a problem I have to worry about in rainy Wales!

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Thank you, AuntyRach.  He's feeling a wee bit better each day.  He's not a garden person though.  I do all the gardening (other than mowing lawn) and enjoy it the most.  I get my love of flowers and plants from my green-thumb Dad.  Unfortunately, I did NOT inherit his green thumb, which is why I am here......to learn what I can from you experts.

Gardening is my second hobby actually.  My first has always been cooking. I have a low-carbohydrate recipe website with over 1,000 recipes now.  Been doing that since 2009.   If you want to have a look-see here's a link:  www.buttoni.wordpress.com.  I'll be adding what I think will be a delicious Bacon-Wrapped Smoked Gouda Filled Beef Roll later tonight or tomorrow.  That's what we're having for dinner tonight.  :)

5 clumps of Aspidistra leaves cleaned up; 1 to go.  Dearie me, what a chore, but it's probably not been done in years.  Filled 3 huge leaf bags with dead and dying leaves.  they look much better now.  I'll do the last clump tomorrow and be done with it. Then I need to get around and feed everything in the yard.  That, too, has not been done in 6 months and I've got some hungry plants. :)
