Im looking for some privacy afterr the fences have blown down. The garden runs along side a public footpah. need advice on the fastest growing hedge/shrubs to help?

The problem with fast growing hedges is that they don't stop growing when they've reached the size you want ... how much time/energy/capability do you have for regular maintenance?
