what is the optimum size container to successfully grow Fushcias in?

The size of the pot needed, depends on the size of the plant.
Small plants should start in small pots, then as plants get bigger, they go into larger pots.

And fuschias are different sizes. Go by the eventual size of the plant. If buying a plantlet, just keep potting it on until end-May/June when it should then go into its last pot.
