Spring has definitely arrived

Every autumn I watch as my hostas dwindle into the earth, and firmly believe that's the last I'll ever see of them, then tentatively each spring I have a sideways look to see if they will reappear.

well, today, there they are, my little beauties poking their noses into the air, god is in his heaven and all's right with the world ????????????

Absolutely!  Driving through the East Anglian countryside today I saw primroses, daffs and cherry blossom everywhere, wheat looking lush in the fields and 'March hares' boxing in the spring sunshine image

imageDespite my cold lurgy, I had a waft of the Skimmia Japonica today - it's a gorgeous fragrance a bit like Lily of the valley.

you've inspired me to mow the lawn !  The suns out and there's a breeze so hopefully the grass won't be sodden.

This has been the mildest winter yet here in my part of Scotland. I have hardly had a jacket on all winter. The last week has been glorious sunshine. Makes the heart lift!
