Ivy under roots of fig tree
I have a fig tree that was completely bound by ivy. I've removed the ivy from the tree but it is apparent that the ivy roots surround the fig tred roots so I cannot dig them out. Presumably I must simply cut ivy shoots as they appear. Or is there a more sophisticated approach and, if so, what is it please?
