Mower identification help
Hi all
I have just spent a bit of time tidying up a mower which I paid £5 at our local recycle centre. I have 2 problems. The main been I'm not sure which Hayter model it is. Secondly. On the underside the blade sits against a round disc or guard. To tighten the blade it causes the blade to bend because it sits on the outer edge of the disc. As the disc is concave should there be a spacer between the blade and disc in order to keep the blade straight when tightening.
As a footnote I'm looking for the grass catcher if anyone had one please.

Can't grumble for £5!
If no one here is able to point you in the right direction, it may be worth sending your pic to Hayter and asking them.
You can fill in a form online at http://www.hayter.co.uk/contact
Or send an email with your photo to [email protected]
Hope you manage to get it going again - good luck

I think I've narrowed it down to one of the harrier models but not sure which one yet. The harrier 48 has 2 levers but this one only has a drive lever. The stop is on the rev/choke handle
It's running nicely. Popped and coughed for a bit so I cleaned piston head of coke as did the valves. Reseater them both and now smooth as a baby'seats #%m. Very pleased with result if I can get blade sorted and a bag.
If you click here --> http://www.hayter.co.uk/handbooks
There are several Harrier's listed under Rear Roller Mowers - then you may be able to identify the model and associated bits you're after

After a second search. I'm now leaning towards a harrier 41. On looking at the exploded drawings. There doesn't seem to be any spacer between the blade and disc. A YouTube video shows it been bent in order to secure blade but as I've never seen this before I'm still wandering if it's the norm for this model.
I regret I have no idea.
Give Hayter a call - they're a reputable company. I have a Hayter Spirit that I've been very happy with I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
