What is this plant?

Saw it at the botanical gardens this weekend and the seed heads looked like they were made of mother of pearl. Would like to know what it usually looks like. Is it a wild plant?

It's called Honesty - Lunaria annua - a hardy biennial with either lilac or white flowers.  Very easy to grow and self seeds around without becoming a nuisance.

    A really pretty thing.

Wow, thanks for the quick identification. I've just googled it and it looks lovely.
