Verdun, I have taken the advice you gave me last year re pruning half way back.

Hi everyone, I took a picture today ? do you suggest cutting back by half? ?

IMHO, the stems look a bit weak to support new growth if you cut half way back. I'd cut back to within a few buds of last year's growth.

    Your plant, your choice.

I cut mine down to a few inches, all of it, but it's up to you, we all do it differently.

Hi verdun and others, thank you for advice, yes she is rather spindly, i will prune as recommeded and sort a bigger pot. I can't plant in the garden yet as i need to dig another border first, thank you?

  • I've had both Limelight and Grandiflora in containers for a number of years now and they flower beautifully. I cut them right back to within 30cm or so. But toward the end of the month rather than now. Good luck.
