Gosh Frank, you brought back another memory. We - as a family - used to swim in the Bitter Lakes. We had to wear rubber shoes to protect our feet from what I assume were sea urchins - anyway something spiny that was incredibly painful if you stood on it. How very nice to share memories. I also remember flying in a York aircraft down to stay with relatives in Nairobi and the Mau Mau were active so my Uncle had to drive with a gun on the front seat of the car. I think I had better shut up now before I bore everyone to death
p.s. I think I would have baulked at the filter.
