Any idea what these are?

Hello, hope you can help. I am in the process of clearing a bed to make space for a herb garden and am trying to move plants rather than chuck them out. There were some beautiful things growing there in the summer and I'd hate to lose them-only trouble is I'm not sure if the things I'm nurturing are weeds or not-any suggestions on the following greatly appreciated...

Top one is an oriental poppy. Middle one looks like a welsh poppy. The furry leaved thing in the top right hand corner looks like centaurea montana (perennial blue cornflower)

I cant make my mind up about the bottom one. Looks a lot like Astrantia,

  • Just googled 'astrantia' to see what it looked like and that was definitely growing in that area in the summer-think you've got it! That was the one I was keen to keep.

Agree fidget for the first 2 pics.  Green 3-leaved things in the bottom photo look like wild strawberries which can be a nuisance.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • Yeah there were loads of them too... thanks!
