The gains from human error

I ordered 80 begonia plug plants, which are all 2cm in size online and they were delivered yesterday, unexpected delivery today of exactly the same amount.  Contacted the seller and the extra 80 plugs were down to a packing error and that we could keep them at no extra cost. Good news in the fact that we will be planting up pots to go along the front of the block of flats that we live in so we won't be short of bedding plants, just now lots of fun potting on the extra 80 plugs

That happened to me a few years ago - an eight setting dinner service and accompanying cutlery arrived as expected, followed a few days later by another complete set. They said it would cost them more for me to return the extra set and told me to keep them - great to have a spare set to cover breakages in the future image

That would be to make sure they matched for surface/grain and colour - one slightly paler door from another batch would really look awful - it's the sort of service I'd expect from a top notch supplier and not necessarily from B&Q - I'm impressed.image
