Clematis

I have replaced a broken trellis and want to grow a Clematis Fujimusume along with a two year old existing flowering climbing plant,(Akebia?), against the wall. Can the two co-exist in the same plant container, which is approx 30x30 cms and 29 cms in height.

I would like to keep all growth to about 180cms high.

The wall is East facing bordering a very warm and sunny patio.

Many thanks

I wouldn't risk it myself. Another container of a similar size might do it.

That's a very small container for any kind of climber.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I have clematis, but only one at a time, in pots twice that size.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Agree with Busy and Fairy, a climber won't truly thrive in a container that small, let alone two. They are almost always better in the ground unless you can provide a big pot.
