Hi pickle. Have you tried Claire Austin's, Crocus or Kelways?

sometimes when you can't find an internet reference to a plant it's because it's not the accepted name

  • We have Rosea Plena officinalis in the garden at work, it's very pretty. I remember looking for it last year and Gardens4u had it. I just checked and they are saying out of stock. It's definitely the right name as it's on the label.

Wrong labels are one of the causes of the problem.

  • Yes I think it is easy to confuse these peonies because Officinalis Rubra Plena, Rosea Superba Plena and Edulis Superba also!

Here is our one at work but I've not seen it anywhere else:

I can try and find out where they got it but I think it's been there for years. I know they got there more recent peonies from J Parkers.

I see it is now listed as an RHS accepted name. there are a list of suppliers.
