Hogweed - just built on earth with a bit of sharp sand to get it level, it should be stable because the patio base we put in was good and we just packed down the earth behind the wall as we added the layers of stone. It's stable enough to sit on, maybe not as good as if a professional did it but only time will tell!
Transformed . Very nicely done, chaps. 'Professionals' would very likely not have done it any different and would probably have taken a lot less care so even if you do get the odd bit of settlement here and there, that's just what happens sometimes, no matter how 'qualified' the builder. And having done it yourself, you'll know exactly what you need to do to repair it should the need arise

That's great! So glad you had a go yourselves - it's so satisfying.
Perhaps you could post some more photos in the autumn, or next summer (or both!) cos it's great to see things progressing.
That looks great. You should be very proud. Did you put founds in for the wall or just built it on earth?
Thanks All, we are very proud ?
