Dead lawn

    It was very lush most of the time Dove - the run off from the spring which fed the ponds all ran down into it  image

    It was quite uneven ground though, despite looking quite level, so it was never as good as it could be. Reclaimed field basically.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    For most purposes, I think the "reclaimed field" look is perfectly adequate, especially if you have children.  I've only once had a garden where the lawn was laid properly, from scratch.  Once the kids had played cricket on it a few times, it might just as well have been a field...  image
