Anyone started theirs yet - if so, tips and where you are in the UK would be helpful!  Thanks, Rob

I have started mine in a 24 cells seed tray. I'm giving them indoor head start.

    Just onions

  • Thanks chaps - anyone else got anywhere yet?

  • I'm putting mine in today, I'm quite south though in Jersey.

Sets don't need such fertile ground as seed. And don't put any manure in the ground. I lways put in blood fish and bone.

im still eating red onions from last year!

I done a seed tray of leeks last week to start off in cool dining room, then will move out into garden in a mini plastic covered shelf unit.  imageWant to wait until winds have died down before putting shelf stand outside.

Mine will go in in two weeks, onion seed inside to begin with under lights, they'll go out in the garden late in April or early May I'm in Denmark but my climate here is similar to Bancory and that area. (mid scotland)
