I bought about 1/4 lb of tumeric tubers they are about 1 to 2 inch long how? or can i grow them in this country i would love to try

its a greenhouse only plant, I am planting them as I have edible ginger in the past, horizontally about 1/2 inch below the surface, keep it warm and it should sprout. Might be useful to wash/soak it beforehand as they can have chemicals on them to stop them sprouting
Thanks so much they are organic i made sure of that tomorrow morning im off down to my allotment to start them off (i have a polytunnel).
