Gosh, now i'm all confused about where to plant them.
Because I am in wet/windy/cold South Wales, thought it would be better putting them in containers rather than ground. Although they have been left outside all winter even though they're not very big yet, they still have their leaves from last year as well.
Should I pot into larger plastic pots but plant them in ground for the summer then keep them in unheated but bright shed over winter ??? Or take a chance and put them in ground and see what happens ??

Sorry
shazza, with gardening it's very much a " suck it and see" thing.
Your garden is unique.
We can generalise about what should , or shouldn't work, what will, or won't work, but only experience will give the exact answer for your garden.
Maybe try an experiment and leave some out and some in?
thanks for all the replies, will give them a go and see how they turn out.
cheers
