Trees, malus, prunus or dogwood?

Hi there,

My garden is quite small but i'm looking for a tree to put in. Does anyone have experience with Malus Evereste, Prunus Serrula or a flowering dogwood (wedding cake tree)?...

The wedding cake cornus will grow very wide so I would go with a more upright tree for a small garden.

  • Look at prunus hillieri 'Spire', neat habit, or prunus 'Kursar', smaller, nice autumn colour.

I think the Crab Apples are great trees, with 3 season interest. Malus Evereste, will however reach about 7 metres tall.

Look on the net for smaller varieties.

Have a look at malus Joseph Rock

I think it's a stunner of a tree, each season, and you could prune it to desired height
