Potting on small clematis
in Plants
Hi all
Silly question probably. I've just bought a couple of clematis from Morrisons in the little 9cm pots.
I'm assuming they shouldn't be planted straight into my beds? Do I deal with them like other 9cm perennials and pot on a couple of times into bigger pots until nice and strong?

I would put them in there positions now.I have had many clematis from Morrisons and all are doing very well!
oh ok - thanks! I was just a bit nervous about susceptibility to insects/slugs at their current size. But I guess they usually get pruned down hard each year anyway?
Now I need to get some supports in place!
