I've been hoping to get quite a lot of bare root hedging done under the assumption that March was ok but I saw a comment about it being too late already because of a mild winter or something.
I'd be ok with doing it til end of March - just remember to keep it watered well for the first year. Our winter (Surrey) has been the coldest for years, and everything is weeks behind. However, I hear (from Forum friends ) that Scotland has been mild ...so I guess it depends where you live .....

Not too late: I planted 80+ hedging plants last week. Little sign of growth in SE England.....don't know where you live Ib.
Thanks, I'm just north of Derby.
