loads of red and yellow seeds from last years plant
scraped off shell a tiny bit, soaked very hot water 48hrs then planted in a pot covered with bag on a heat matt
1.5 weeks later i have these
im now worried they will grow too quick, looks i will have about 8 on the go.
now tryiong to give some air and stop any dampening off
any further tips?

they look perfectly happy to me. I'd carry on doing as you are now. Well done you.
well they have only just come out of the bag, initally they good just hope no dampening off
at window sill for now and above window open, will try and get themn out side bit by bit as spring arrives
4 in each pot and so far 2 in each have sprouted plus waiting on 6 yellow ones
I'd be interested to know if they come " true" from seed.
I use a pair of pliers to hold them and nick them with a pair of nailclippers.
I fiddly filed a bit off
Just surprised how big from seed plant to.sprout this big in less 2 weeks
I have never had them come "true" from seed, you may be disappointed if you were hoping for the same colour as the parent plant. I have found the only way is by division if you want the same colour.
I have yellow plant from last year still asleep but think it's waking up. Seeds for that not sprouted
The rest i bought were red but yes Will they actually be red
Hope so as lining up yellow and red either side and white geraniums in front
maybe time i removed them from windowsill?
slight brown tips/edges. maybe too hot, ive turned off radiator.
or dampening off? ive tried to give extra air flow and watered with water from tap and camomile tea
i could now move to my garage/my type of greenhouse. has mid day sun till set at a window and can have more airflow. just depends if we get frosts... but wont be forsty in garage justa bit cold
any suggestions?
