Baby plants
in Plants
Hello I've noticed my local garden centre has started selling baby plants.
Is it best to make mother plants out these at this time Of the year.
Do you need bottom heat and a greenhouse to give them enough light And heat?

As in baby do you mean 9cm? It's certainly my go-to because it works out cheaper if you're buying a large amount to grow on. You'll need to re-pot them as they get larger to let the roots expand, a GH is great but I often just use my kitchen's south facing window sill. A 9cm plant of some varieties will be flowering and grown enormously by mid-summer. Hardy varieties can be left in a cold-frame or outside to grow naturally as the weather warms.
