Hi, I have just bought a secondhand green house and a newbie. These are all the questions I had in my head as not sure where to start. This has helped immensely, thank you.
You figure out what works best for you, trial and error.i grew tomatoes in the green house, even with shading, damping down, fan, doors open roof vents,it reaches30c in march, they got blossom end rot.you need to replace the soil, tried them in pots,in there, they didn't grow very well, put them outside.i do use (3) green houses, they are full, need an add on,had a look, delivery 30 weeks!!!
.Green house completely slabbed inside. .Tomatoes, cucumber and peppers all grown in pots .Not an inch of space is wasted. All pots run down both sides, along the back and down the middle (path).
At the end of the growing season the 4 aluminum standalone slatted tables are placed back in the green house for overwintering plants.

I bought fold up metal stagging on eBay, nice wooden potting bench in home base doubles as serving surface for drinks etc when we have people over, always grown my peppers and cucumbers in one of them
