Blackcurrants

Hello all,

I was given a few blackcurrent off cuts last year. 

I planted them in the summer. Just a single stalk 30/40cm tall with a bud or two.

They haven't grown much - it's now the following Feb, do I leave them alone OR prune back to stubs to promote more "bushy" growth like I would with raspberries?
