i have some double begonia 'tubers' ????????? you can tell I am a novice. can I plant just now in a little trough on my window ledge even though central heating will be on ?
I start begonia corms in trays of damp compost in the conservatory march vikki. They need a little warmth to get them going so central heating shouldn't be a problem as long as they're not sitting atop the radiator and burning their bums.
Don't bury them completely, the top needs to stay dry to void rotting.
This is the most simple and straightforward video I could find....

I dampen the compost before put them in and only water around the edges after then. I've kept my corms for successive years since 2014.
