Raised bed box depth

I am making a raised bed box out of some pallets, do you think 14inch / 36cm is deep enough for second early potatoes?

    No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.  B)

    I've made my veg planter 18 inch deep if that any help. If it was on top of soil 12inch would be deep enough.
